Sankt Hans in the Park

Come and celebrate Sankt Hans with our wonderful Danish community.
After some challenges with parking at Dockweiler in recent years, we’re trying a new location and have decided to move from the beach to the park — specifically, the Crystal Springs Picnic Area in Griffith Park. We’ve also decided to move the day to Sunday to avoid L.A. traffic. Don’t worry, it’s still the second longest day of the year, and the Midsummer song will still be sung half-badly, but with plenty of enthusiasm.
The atmosphere will be just as hyggelig, and we’ll make a “bonfire” in the best BBQ pit.
Like in previous years, we’re doing a lovely Danish potluck, where everyone brings a bit of food and drink.
There will still be an opportunity to make twist bread (snobrød) over the various BBQ pits.
Please let us know what you’re bringing on our Facebook event page, so we don’t end up with too much of the same (this doesn’t apply to cookies).
We look forward to seeing you all for a cozy afternoon with good food, Danish hygge, and plenty of laughs.
